Garnet T. Davis, 96, of Pontiac, Michigan, died Saturday, February 22, 2020 at a local care center. Born June 28, 1923 in Pear, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Carl Thompson and July Esil Glade Brogan Thompson. She married James Andrew Davis October 18, 1953 in Beckley, West Virginia. He preceded her in death in 1982. She lived in Irving from 1989 until 2005. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband James Andrew Davis, and a grandson, Stephen Reiser, she is survived by three children, Esil Reiser and husband Jim of Southlake, Texas, Newton Davis and wife Jonna of Nix, Missouri, and Donald Davis and wife Barb of Cameron Park, California; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Gergian, Andrew Davis, Eric Reiser, Allyson Smith, Sydney Newton, Jeran Davis, and Kevin Davis; and four great grandchildren, Ethan Gergian, Vera Gergian, Genevieve Reiser and Silas Reiser. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Chapel of White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. The funeral will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial with her husband will be in the Garden of the Spread of the Gospel Section of the White Chapel Cemetery in Troy Michigan. SERVICES
