Frank M. Wilson, III, 83, of Coppell, Texas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away of natural causes on September 21, 2022. His faith, family, and friends gave him peace in his final days.
Frank was born to Judge Frank M. Wilson, Jr. and Dorothy Wilson on February 5, 1939. Growing up in Waco, Texas as a lifelong Baylor Bear, Frank graduated from Waco High School and Baylor University with a business degree.
The most important thing to Frank was his Lord, his family, and his friends. His very best friend was his wife, Janice Beal Wilson. Janice was his partner in life for 61 years. They worshiped together, played sports and games together, travelled together, and raised three lovely children together.
He and his boys, Scott and Bart, had friendships deeper than most fathers and sons. They spent hours together hunting, fishing, and playing ball. His daughter Susan was the light of his life. He attended her piano and dance recitals, but they most enjoyed going shopping together. His children chose wonderful mates and have done a fantastic job of raising his eight grandchildren.
Frank was a sportsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and playing tennis and golf. For 50 years he raised hunting dogs and enjoyed every moment he spent with friends and family at the hunting lease in Ballinger that he had for 22 years.
Everyone who knew Frank felt his big heart. Frank prioritized friendships and had many "best friends." His consistency and loyalty in friendship was admirable. He demonstrated so beautifully what it means to love others. In 1974, Frank and Janice joined Las Colinas Country Club and made many dear friends and cherished memories.
Being active in church community was central to Franks lifea value he passed on to his family. Following in fathers footsteps, Frank taught Sunday School to 4th and 5th graders for a joyous 25 years. His love for his Savior was evident and made an impact on his friends and family.
Franks joyful presence and faithful friendship will be missed. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janice Beal Wilson of Coppell; son Frank Scott Wilson and wife Diane; daughter Susan Young and husband Paul; son Bart Wilson, and Laurie Wilson; his eight grandchildren: Lauren and her husband Parker Threadgill, Connor Wilson, Carter Wilson, Madison Young, Whitney Young, Claire Wilson, Kate Wilson, and Audrey Wilson; and the countless friends and lives Frank has touched throughout his life.
