Frank Willis, age 90, a resident of Irving since June 8, 1961, died Monday, June 12, 2017 in a Fairfield care center. Born March 20, 1927 in Emmett, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Ray Willis and Iber Martindale Willis. He married Patsy Ruth Foster on June 30, 1950 in Longview, Texas. She preceded him in death June 25, 2013 after 63 years of marriage. He served on the Dallas Police Force for 23 years retiring in 1977. He was Baptist. Preceded in death also by a grandson, Christopher Willis, he is survived by his; children, Gary Willis and wife Melody of Fort Worth, Charles Willis and wife Patti of Newalla, Oklahoma, Rhonda Posey of Irving, Debbie Wilson and husband Steve of Liberty Hill, Robert Willis and Diana Willis both of Buffalo, Dewayne Willis and wife Christy of Olympia, Washington; grandchildren, Jennifer Garland and husband Steve, Kristy Willis, Melissa Knapp and husband Brian, Cameron Willis, Maryelle Willis, Trevor Willis, Bryce Willis, Heather Chapman and husband Steve, Jeremy Posey and wife Anna, Tanya Smith and husband Greg, Kelly Allen and husband Brett, Stephen Wilson and wife Jessica, Josh Willis and wife Chantee, Amanda Lanier and husband Michael, John Carswell and wife Brandi, Erica Carswell, Nick Willis and wife Bianca, Matthew Willis, Cody Willis and Kiarra Willis; 23 great grandchildren; Sisters, Carolyn Misenheimer and Shirley Reese both of Arkansas; brothers, Jimmy Willis of Irving, Herbert Willis of Houston, and Arthur Willis of Florida. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Brother Carl Clark will officiate. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
