FRANCES ALTOM, a, lifetime resident of the DFW area was born April 30, 1921 in Dallas County, Texas. She passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Irving. A long-time pastor's wife, she is preceded in death by her husband Marion R. "Porky" Altom. Survivors include her daughter, Pat Rizos of Euless; three grandchildren, Patrick Ellis of Glen Carbon, IL, Shelly Davidson and Shannon Davidson both of Irving; also three great grandchildren, Meredith and Claire Ellis of Illinois and Hunter Hollinghead of Irving. She was a member of the Old School Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Worth. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
