FLOYD RILEY EDWARDS, age 77, a resident of Whitewright, Texas for 8 years, formerly of Irving and McKinney, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Born April 2, 1937 in Dallas, Texas, he was the son of Earl Edwards and Bessie Smith Edwards. On July 1, 1980, Floyd married Patsy Kirksey in Irving. He was a carpenter at ESW, and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Whitewright. Survivors include his wife, Patsy; daughters, Veta Newton and husband John of Bridgeport, Janet Brewer and husband Dale of Leonard, Patricia Clark and husband Michael of Celina, and Debra Hill of Irving; sons, Kenneth Edwards and wife Terry of Denton, and Dale Hill of Celina; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ollar of Glen Rose. Service is 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving with visitation to start one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow the service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
