Jennie Fay Jones, 83, a caring, generous, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and dear friend to all, died peacefully on August 20, 2016. Fay was born in Baskin, Louisiana, grew up in Rayville, Louisiana and then made Texas her home. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and could go toe to toe with anyone about the team as far back as anyone can remember. Its best you kept it to yourself if you were a fan of the Redskins, Eagles, Patriots or any other team, for that matter. Family and friends of Fay enjoyed her incredibly delicious meals and desserts and would never leave her home hungry, as her meals would fill the dining room table. Fay was always showing her love and concern by preparing meals for others after a surgery or death in the family. Fay retired from Bank of America and then enjoyed volunteering her time at the First Baptist Church of Dallas. Fay is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas C. Jones; son, Scott and his wife Dianne of North Richland Hills, Texas; and daughter, Misty Lea and her husband, Josh; granddaughter, Emma Lea of West Monroe, Louisiana; her sister, Lura and her husband, Warren Street. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Sina and Thomas Kirby Magee; siblings, John, Wessie, Margaret and Maxine; and son, John Roger. A Memorial Service for Fay will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 26, 2016, in the Truett Chapel of First Baptist Church Dallas, 1707 San Jacinto, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society or a charitable organization of your choice.
