Eyla Jean Eldridge, 69, of Glen Heights, Ellis County, Texas, died Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Born March 6, 1953 in Dallas, she was the daughter of U S Eldridge and the late Helen Powell Eldridge. She was an LVN. Preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Lee Small in 2008, mother Helen Powell Eldridge; and siblings Timothy Eldridge and Linda Kelley. Eyla is survived by her father U S Eldridge; a son Cornelius Small of Glen Heights and daughter Daphne (Robert) Fenwick of Irving; brothers U S Eldridge, Jr., and Jeffrey Eldridge and a sister, Shelia Eldridge; one special great niece, De Amber Smith and a host of family and friends.
