Evelyn L. Snodgrass, 99, of Irving, TX passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her residence in Irving. Evelyn's funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 20th, at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving Chapel. Friends and family may visit from 12:00 noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home, burial will follow at the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Irving. Evelyn was born October 20, 1924 in Eddy, Texas, she was the daughter of Louis Preston Sissom and Molly Miriah Parker. She graduated from Irving High School, she has lived in Irving for over 78 years. She worked at Abbot Labs in Dallas and was a member of the First Assembly God. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Snodgrass; brothers, Alvie, Earnst, Edward and Bill Sissom and her sisters, Effie Jernigan, and Vida Heatherington. Left to cherish her memory is her stepdaughter Shirley Lanning; nieces and nephews, Betti, Beth, Judy, Buddy, Sr, Dan and Jimmy; and too numerous to name her great nephews and nieces; great great nephews and nieces and great great great nephews and nieces.
