EVELYN EDWARDS, age 81, a resident of Irving for 47 years, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 in Bedford. Born June 29, 1933 in Amarillo, Texas, she was the daughter of Edgar F. Putman and Elsie Luttrel Putman. She was a flower designer and a member of the Christian faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Autry Edwards on July 2, 2008, Evelyn is survived by her children, Steve and Minnie Edwards, David and Tere Edwards, Shirley and Randy Morton, Wesley, III and Jennifer Edwards, and Ginger and Barry Zeller; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
