Eunice Lee Johnson Henry, age 101, of Waxahachie, formerly of Irving, died Monday, July 8, 2019 in an Ennis, Texas care center. Born November 22, 1917, she is the daughter of the late William Edgar Tankersley and Ora Lee Talley Tankersley. She married Oliver D. (Dorice) Johnson August 12, 1937 in New Braunfels, Texas. He preceded her in death March 27, 1987. She married Virgle L. Henry May 10, 1990 in Irving, Texas. He preceded her in death November 2, 2009. She was a retired lead coordinator for LTV and member of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving.
Preceded in death also by a sister Doretta Reif, a son, Ray Johnson, a granddaughter, Jill Deann Johnson, and two step-sons, James and Steve Henry, she is survived by a son Johnny Lee Johnson and wife Pat of Waxahachie; five grandchildren, Scott Johnson and wife Kim of Flower Mound, Marcus Jay Johnson and wife Kim of Cedar Park, Vanessa Manley and husband Mike of Cedar Park, Texas, Derek Ray Johnson of Rowlett, and Elizabeth Ann Campbell and husband J. D. of Frisco; and ten great grandchildren, Trevor Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Ashton Scott, Johnny Krones, Ashley Johnson, J. R. Campbell, Mason Johnson, Madeline Johnson, Brooklyn Manley, and Caden Manley; two step-sons, Randy Henry and Richard Henry; and a sister Nelda Jean Burton of Florida
The family will receive friend 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Oak View Baptist Church 1004 South Story Road in Irving. Pastor Dr. Jim Gerlach and Rev. Ron Kurtz will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving.
