Eula Belle Neeson Warren was born October 22, 1922 in Bossier Parish, Louisiana to Henry Grady Neeson and Eulalie Julia Hanks Neeson. She died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 after a lengthy illness, yet her indomitable spirit and loving grace will live on. Eula was known for her beauty, her lively mind and her strong will. At the beginning of World War II, she was a registered nurse working in surgery at the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children in Shreveport. She joined the war effort by enlisting in the Navy, serving at the US Naval Hospital in New Orleans and the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda. She left the service in 1946 as a Lt. (jg) USNR and married Frank Warren, also a Navy veteran, the following year. In addition to her family, she loved her church and helping children in need, she loved her rich Southern heritage, and she loved music. May Clair de Lune be playing in heaven.
