Mr. Ernest J. Deeds, age 94 of Irving, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 in Irving. He was born on April 27, 1921 in Hobart, Oklahoma, the son of Daise and Etta (Rhodes) Deeds. Ernest was united in marriage to Lois Clements on December 31, 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Ernest served in WWII, is a Purple Heart and The French Legion of Honor Medal recipient for the Normandy, France invasion. He is survived by his wife, Lois; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Andrea Deeds; four grandchildren, Billy, Bobby, Brandie and Chad; brother, Earl Deeds and sister-in-law, Shirley; and other extended family and friends. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, 1714 North Story Road, Irving, Texas 75061. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas.
