Edna Mozelle Freeman, of Irving, passed away on April 20, 2012. Born January 28, 1927 in Tarrant County just south of the Grapevine city limits, she is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Gavula, one grandson, Vincent Gavula. and son-in-law, Michael Gavula all of Jacksonville FL; one sister, Bobbie Willhelm of Irving, TX; and one brother, James Altom of Emory, TX. She had many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond. Mozelle began school in the Estelle School and was a member of the Estelle Heritage Society. She was also a member of the Opti-Mrs Club of Irving, having served in different offices including that of President of the club. She graduated from Irving High School in 1944. Mozelle was raised on a farm where the DFW Airport is now located. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
