Edgar Weldon Winn Jr., died Thursday, April 22, 2010, peacefully in his sleep at his Irving, Texas home. Mr. Winn was born June 7, 1937 in Brunswick County, Virginia, to Edgar Winn Sr. and Marion Lowry. Eddie proudly served in the US Navy and then moved to Irving in 1968 where he married and raised his family. "Big Ed" loved to laugh, dance and work out. He will be greatly missed by all who shared these things with him. Eddie was survived by his son, Weldon; daughter-in-law, Dara; and 2 grandchildren, Emma and Allison. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Service will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home in Irving. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
