Celebration of Life services for Edgar "Eddie" Omar Robles, 46, will be held in Irving, TX on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2 PM at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home. Eddie passed away September 15, 2022 at the HEB hospital in Bedford, Texas. Eddie was born to Luis Robles and Alicia Ruiz on June 6, 1976 in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School of Tyler, Texas and went on to receive degrees from Stephen F Austin University and UT Arlington. He was known for his gregarious soul, infectious smile and generous love and compassion. It is through this that he touched so many lives and helped anyone, in any way that he could, while still being quick with a joke to help lift peoples spirits. He accepted people as they are, and expected nothing more of them and no matter who you were, to Eddie, you were always enough. And that sentiment was so much a part of his soul that it extended to his beloved Cubs, never caring if they won or lost, Eddie was a diehard fan and always believed that their day would come and knowing that he was able to see it, once, was quite the sight. Eddie served many years in the public school system starting as a campus technician, moving into teaching and was most recently an Assistant Principal at John R. Good Elementary in Irving, and was currently working to earn his Doctorate of Education. Eddie was an avid traveler who spanned the globe and loved to share these adventures with family and friends alike. When Eddie was not abroad, he was hosting dinners and parties, mostly a stop-gap measure until he could decorate for Halloween in spectacular Griswald fashion. Eddie goes to join those that have gone before him, Luis Robles (father), Alicia Ruiz Robles (mother). Those left to cherish his memory are Kristen Robles (wife), Katherine Robles (daughter), his siblings: Sandra Robles, Norma Robles, and Christopher Robles, and beloved family members: Joanne Garcia, Jeanette Garcia, Jennifer Gibson, and Grisell Henderson. He is also survived by a host of friends and colleagues who adored him as much as he adored them.
