Eduardo Cuevas Eddie De La Cruz, a resident of Irving, died at his home on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Eddie was born on January 21, 1952 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Monico and Maria (De La Luz Cuevas) De La Cruz. He married Diana Ruelas on January 10, 1976 in San Antonio Texas. After serving 32 years in the US Army, he was a warehouse fork truck operator in the bakery industry. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Alberto De La Cruz, Estella Bustos, and Jose De La Cruz. Survivors include his wife Diana De La Cruz of Irving; son, Eduardo De La Cruz, Jr. of Irving; daughter, Jessica Ceja and husband Jose of Irving; four grandchildren: Araceli, Vanesa, Alberto, and Vicky; siblings: Gloria De La Cruz, Alicia De La Cruz, Ernesto De La Cruz, Elena De La Cruz, and Ricardo De La Cruz, all of San Antonio. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 6th in the Chapel of Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Deacon Larry Harmon, celebrant. Burial followed at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas 75220.
