DuWayne Alfred Fischer
May 29, 1945 – October 7, 2026
DuWayne Alfred Fischer passed away on October 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, service, and unwavering dedication to helping others.
A proud Vietnam veteran and longtime probation officer, DuWayne devoted much of his life to serving his community. For 53 years, he lived in recovery and was an active member and sponsor in Alcoholics Anonymous. Helping others through their own journeys was not simply something he did; it was a meaningful part of who he was.
DuWayne never met a stranger. He could light up a room with his humor, and while he could certainly be stubborn, his heart was generous. Whether donating to a worthy cause or dropping everything to help someone in need, he showed his love through his actions.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Fischer, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. He was also a father of four. DuWayne will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his compassion, and the countless lives he touched.
Forever remembered, forever loved.
