Obituary

Dr. Claire St. Clair passed on December 16, 2017 in Southlake, Texas, at the age of 92. Claire was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. There she cultivated her love of the ocean, lighthouses, ballet, and arts. Claire graduated from Simmons College in Boston and embarked on decades of caring for others through her career in nursing. Claire married Raymond M. Brown, M.D. (1915-1979), and they became loving parents of eleven children. Later, Claire wed John St. Clair (1921-2002). Together they travelled throughout Europe and Africa. However, Claire was most passionate traveling throughout the world to visit her children and grandchildren. Claire was an incredible, loving, smart, funny, creative and compassionate mom, grandma, and great grandma. She never played favorites, she loved and was proud of all her children and grandchildren. Claire leaves a great legacy that will continue to make the world better, and will have a never-ending impact on the lives of her family and friends. Claire is predeceased by Arthur and Clara McKay, Raymond M. Brown, MD., John Langley St. Clair, and her son, Daniel Brown. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Heyne (Roy), Margaret Stucka (Walter), Christine Marshall (Tom), Stephen Brown (Laura), Gregory Brown (Thourya Haouse-Brown), Raymond Brown (Tami), Teresa Bovington (Jock), Marie Mirch (Kevin), Suzanne Pechtl (Helmut), David Brown (Loretta), thirty-seven grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren.
