Doyle Hix, 73, of Irving, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Baylor, Scott & White Hospital of Irving. Doyle was born November 9, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Jesse Earnest Hix and Mary Frances Weaver Hix. A resident of Irving since 1952 and a 1965 graduate of Irving High School, he earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from East Texas State now Texas A & M of Commerce in 1969. On June 19, 1970 he married Sharon Toler in Irving. Doyle was a member of the Underwriters Association and worked as a Senior Insurance Underwriter for forty years at several agencies in the Dallas area. He was a longtime member and Deacon of Kirkwood United Methodist Church of Irving. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Sharon of Irving; son, Brian Hix and wife Heather of Celina; daughters, Janet McMillen and husband Kevin of Irving, Lisa Simms and husband Logan of Prosper; grandchildren, Kendall Simms, Reagan Hix, Dale Hix and Leyton Simms; twin sister, Shirley Harrington of Lantana; sister, Karen Blackman and husband, Wayne of Irving; uncle, Carmel Lee Hix; mother-in-law, Clereta Toler; brother-in-law, Bob Toler,and wife Judy all of Irving; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March, 15, 2020 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway. Services will be Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Burial is at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas. Rev.
