Dorothy Martin, age 70, a resident of Farmers Branch, Texas for 12 years, formerly of Irving, Texas, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her home. She was born June 14, 1939 in Mount Vernon, New York to Harry L. and Dorothy Smith Hunt. Dorothy was a member of North Irving Baptist Church. On January 3, 1959, she married Bobby Joe Martin. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2009. Also preceding her in death is her father. Dorothy was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Lambert and husband Wayne; son, Robert Martin; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Hunt; brothers, Harry L. Hunt and wife Sandy, and William R. Hunt; sisters-in-law, Patsy Wallis and husband Bob, and Peggy Henard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 12 noon, Thursday, May 6, 2010 at North Irving Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Hale officiating. Burial at 2:00 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
