DOROTHY EVELYN BOOK, age 87, a resident of Argyle, Texas, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at home. Born January 7, 1926 in Weirton, West Virginia to Ora Satterfield and Lydia Bays Satterfield, she married Michael Book, Jr. on November 25, 1946 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Dorothy was a former service clerk for GTE. Preceded in death by her husband in 1998; five sisters; four brothers and her grandchildren, Michael T. Bard and Matthew D. Book. She is survived by her children, Anna Marie Bard and husband Timothy, Michael D. Book and wife Elaine, James E. Book, Sr. and wife Kathy, Linda Solt and husband David; grandchildren, Michael J. Book, James E. Book, Jr., Robert J. Solt, Christopher M. Solt and Michelle L. Solt; great grandchildren, Roman M. Solt, Chad D. Solt, Conner M. Solt, Asher Book, Allie Book, Trey Book, Tyson Book; and sister, Louise Brydon. Graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving on Saturday August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
