DORA EMILY MacDONALD KIRST, age 84, a resident of Irving for 41 years, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at a local care center. Born December 6, 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of William Arthur and Freida Davis MacDonald. She married Vincent Joseph Kirst in 1947. He preceded her in death March 27, 1996. A homemaker, she was a member of Saint Lukes Catholic Church. Also preceded in death by a son, James, she is survived by her other children, Vincent Richard Kirst of Irving, Loretta Kirst Drummond and husband Don of Euless, Danny V. Kirst and wife Becky of Garland, Michael V. Kirst and wife, Jennifer of Galveston, and John V. Kirst and wife Kris of Tyler; grandchildren, Sarah Kirst, Katherine Kirst, Rebecca Magee and husband Patrick, Kathleen Kirst, Laura Kirst, David Kirst, Mathew Kirst, Gabriela Kirst, Desiree Moyer and husband John, and Ashley Benefield; great grandchildren, Stephanie Pauken-Magee, Andrew Magee and Riley Moyer. A visitation will be 7:00 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Mausoleum North Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane in Dallas.
