DOLAN L. MILLER, age 92, completed his earthly life on March 22, 2014 in an Irving hospital. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Carroll of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Irving officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Dolan was born May 3, 1921 in Sadler, Texas to Grady and Kate Miller. He was the youngest and only son of their four children. After graduation, he moved to San Francisco, California where he met and married, Esther Nelson in 1948. In 1951, they returned to Texas and settled in Irving when it was just a small community. Dolan worked for Liberty Steel in Dallas for 31 years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and had been a part-time farmer and cattle rancher in Pilot Grove, Texas for many years. He was a long time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Esther, his parents and three sisters. Survivors include his children, Linda Ormon and Richard of Colleyville, Terry Miller and Gloria of Irving; grandsons, Brian Miller and Scott Ormon and Nadia; great grandson, Reid Ormon; two nephews and a niece; and many friends.
