DIXIE J. EBERHART, age 89, a resident of Irving since 2002, formerly of Harvest Hill-Dallas, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at a local hospital. Born July 18, 1921 at Saint Joseph, Missouri, she was the daughter of Russell and Fern Cassidy Hawken. She married Charles E. Eberhart in 1942 at Nashville, TN. He preceded her in death February 22, 2007. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling in her RV with her husband, reading and playing bridge. She was a dedicated and loyal mother. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Morse and husband Jim of Alvord, TX; son, C. Scott Eberhart and wife Patty of Granbury; two sisters, Betty Vanderhook and Ruth Ann Gaulden, both of Orange County, CA; three grandchildren, Brett, Tyler, and Cody Eberhart. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the American Heart Association.
