Richard Allan Comstock was born July 22, 1938 in El Dorado, Kansas and died January 30, 2018. His family moved to Texas in 1948 where he lived the remainder of his life as a proud Texan and even prouder Texas Longhorn. As a fire protection engineer, he spent his entire career with The Fire Prevention and Engineering Bureau, later Insurance Service Offices in Dallas. He was a very active member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer as well as serving on numerous boards for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. He was also very active with the Sunrise Rotary Club of Irving. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Beth, his daughter Laura, his daughter Susan and her husband Zach and grandchildren Lauren and Tyler, and his son Rick and his wife Kyssa. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on February 10, 2018 at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Irving, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Redeemer Building fund.
