Dewey Tessier Kaye, 81, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away July 19, 2025 in Hillsboro, Texas. He was born October 12, 1943, in Clyde, Texas to Elizabeth "Betty" Hazel Tessier who later raised him alongside Hubert Gardner.

He was known for his work ethic and dedication. He owned DS&J Trucking from 1981-2020, as well as his work as a mechanic for several years.

He is survived by his son, James Kaye and wife Maria Kaye; daughter, Philieza Rice and husband Lonny Rice; daughter, Kindall Kaye, daughter, Kortney McMillion; daughter, Heaven Kaye; sister, Janie Guilliams; sister, Luane Stag; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents; previous spouse, Jima Gardner, previous spouse, Melissa Hart; and brother Rick Gardner.
