Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debi Gebhardt on January 18, 2025, at the young age of 66, after her year long (known) battle with stage four lung cancer. Debi was born November 30, 1958 to Cindy and Robert Whitehead in Chicago, IL. Debi was known for her strong will, unwavering faith, and love and support for her family.

In 1984, she met Terry Gebhardt, while playing adult softball on the same team where she impressed him with her amazing athletic ability, personality, and beauty. At the time, they were both in a different relationship, but God had different plans. In 1985, they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend and in 1986, she married the love of her life. In 1989, they had their first gift from God, their beautiful daughter, Whitney. In 1991, their second gift arrived, Lexi.

Debi was a successful business owner, where she designed, made, and sold her own clothing line. When her daughter, Whitney, got sick, she gave up her dream to help provide the best care she could. This highlights one of the most admirable qualities that Debi embodied, total selflessness! She had the biggest servant heart and unfailingly put the needs of others above her own. When her children were old enough to go to school, she became a licensed cosmetologist, where she had a passion and talent for helping others feel like their best self. Over everything, her greatest joy and accomplishment was the gift of being a Mom. She rocked that title proudly. The unconditional love and patience she had for her girls is unmatched.

Debi is preceded in death by her daughter, Whitney Gebhardt, parents, Robert & Cindy Whitehead, and her grandparents, Frederick & Helen Gergel. She is survived by her husband, Terry Gebhardt, daughter, Lexi Fenn, grandsons, Tate & Tyler Fenn, and brother, Gary Whitehead.

To celebrate her life, we are going to have an intimate family ashes spreading ceremony. Donations in her memory can be made to Jack's Basket
