David Timothy Childers, 79, a resident of The Colony, formerly from Arkansas, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home. Born September 11, 1943, he was the son of the late Rufus Lake Childers and Evelyn Jewel Broyles Childers. He was a retired grocery butcher. Preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Jewel Childers; two sons, Christopher Michael and Donald Dean; a brother Daniel Childers; and a sister, Nancy Madison; he is survivied by a daughter Dina Day of Arkansas; a son David Wayne Childers; a brother Don Childers and wife Virginia of Irving; caregiver and sister-in-law, Jerry Childers of The Colony; and six grandchildren. Private family services are being held. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
