DAVID D. DAVE ABBOTT, age 67 of Tyler, died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born December 18, 1944, he was the son of Ben Cecil Abbott and Madge Ethelyn Saxon Abbott. He served in the U S Navy during the Vietnam conflict. A machinist with Trane for 26 years, he moved to Irving during his brief illness. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by a daughter Kerri Robusto of Fort Mill, South Carolina; a son Jeff Abbott of Hale Center, Texas; three sisters, Virginia Hornburg, Patsy Poe and Linda Gomez, all of Irving; a brother Larry Leatherwood of Little Elm, Texas; and six grandchildren, Alexandria Lee Abbott, Victoria Lee Abbott, Jeffrey Jacob Abbott, Luke Anthony Abbott, William Ryder Robusto and Isabella Grace Robusto. The family will receive friends at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held later in Tyler.
