DARLENE SNYDER HENSON, 83 a resident of Irving for 37 years, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at Lexington Place in Richland Hills, Texas. Born December 30, 1932 in Bonita, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie J. Miller and Helen Lorene Mitchell Miller. She was the widow of James Snyder and Darrell Henson. She was a seamstress and member of Kirkwood United Methodist Church in Irving. Survivors include her daughters, Melinda Baker and husband Don of Keller, Jeannie Beck and husband Larry of Azle; a son Mike Snyder and wife Debra of Fort Worth; sisters, Erlene Nimer of Grand Prairie and Lanelle Young of Freer, TX; a brother Harold Miller of Salado, TX; seven grandchildren, Ryan Baker and wife Kristina, Megan Shaffer and husband Stephen, Heather Snyder, Patrick Snyder and wife Jessica, Kelsey Baker, Riley Baker, and Danny Beck; five great grandchildren Layton Shaffer, Mason Shaffer, Hadley Shaffer, Mitchell Baker, and Jacob Baker; and two additional great grandchildren on the way. The family received friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Her funeral was held on Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
