CLYDE A.C. JOHNSON, age 82, a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas for 55 years, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Arlington. Born September 27, 1932 in Ireland, Texas, the son of George Coleman Johnson and Martha Adeline Bennett Johnson, he married Peggy Richards on June 10, 1957 in Dallas County. A.C. was a mechanic at Consolidated Freight Ways, a longtime member of the Grand Prairie Range Riders, and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Johnson; sons, Wayne Johnson and wife Cat of Joshua, and Rick Johnson and wife Debra of Pooleville; grandchildren, Billy, Carolyn, Rebecca, Christine and Nikki; great grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Katie, Aden and Tyler; brother, Willie Johnson of Gatesville; sisters, Faye Stone of McGregor and Arnetta Black of McKinney; father-in-law, Robert Richards, SR; brother-in-law, Robert Richards, JR; and many nieces and nephews Visitation begins at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Arlington.
