CLIFF MORGAN EVANS, age 85, a resident of Irving, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Born July 14, 1928 in Irving, he was the son of Loyie B. Evans and Mary Magdalene Hampton Evans. On February 22, 1946, Cliff married Helen Ramey in Irving. He received an Associate Degree in Business at Delmar College in Dallas and was employed at Sears in Dallas for 43 years, retiring in 1985. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Irving and the Masonic Lodge. Preceded in death by his son, Cliff Morgan Evans, Jr., survivors include his wife, Helen of Irving; son, Rick Evans and wife Amy of Arlington; son, Barry Evans and wife Mary of Coppell; daughter, Carmen Bass and husband Tim of El Paso; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Evans and wife Erin, David Evans, Barry Evans, Jr., Alexandra Bass, Erin Evans, Victoria Bass; and sister, Ruth Conner of Irving. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19 at First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street in Irving with Rev. Wallace Philpot officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the church prior to the service.
