CLAUDE DUNN, age 85, a resident of Irving since 1954, formerly of Coppell for 20 years, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at a local care center. Born January 12, 1931 in Grapevine, Texas, the son of John Carter Dunn and Eugenia Jones Dunn, he was a Sgt. 1st Class serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. On September 6, 1954, he married Barbara Jean Spruill at the First Baptist Church in Irving. Claude attended the University of Texas at Arlington. He retired in 1988 after 29 years as a senior accountant at Crum and Forester in Dallas. He was a member and Deacon at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Dunn; sons, Phillip Brian Dunn and wife Alisa, Paul Allen Dunn, and Preston Scott Dunn and wife Mindy; grandchildren, Marcus Dunn and wife Lauren, Kristin Millington and husband Duncan, Kelsie Morris and husband Will, Tanner Dunn, Preston Dunn, Jr. and wife Brittany and Kathryn Dunn; great grandchildren, Ethan, Landrie, Tinley, Dawson and Ellie. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 30 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. The service was held on Thursday, March 31 at Shelter C, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Rev.
