Charles Edward Merriman, Sr., age 87, passed away on March 16, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Charles was born May 11, 1937, to Toy Cullen Merriman and Audrey Mitchell in Tupelo, Mississippi. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and his Lord Jesus Christ.

He is survived by daughters, Tina Lavail Merriman of Euless, Texas, Rebecca Lynn Evans and husband Cody of Rantoul, Illinois, Angela Rose Hester and husband David of Hurst, Texas; son Charles Edward Merriman, Jr of Euless, Texas; sisters Sandra and Peggy (husband Kenneth); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one 1 great-great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Judith Rose Ashton; daughter, Evelyn; grandchild, John Michael; parents; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on March 22, 2025, at Goshen Cemetery in Eustace, Texas.
