CHARLES "CHAS" ANDREWS, age 79, a lifetime resident of Irving, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born December 7, 1930 in Dallas, Texas, he was the son of George Andrews and Beatrice Reeder Andrews. He married Janice Green July 27, 1962 in Irving. Employed by the Vent-A-Hood Company of Richardson for 52 years, he retired as a supervisor and plant manager. He was an avid bowler. Survivors include his wife Janice of Irving; son, Leslie Andrews and wife Mary of Irving; daughter, Janet Hawkins and husband Cecil of Weatherford; step daughter, Gail Canady of Alaska; step-son, Darrell Hurt of Waco; brother, Durwood Andrews of Irving; half-brother, David Watkins, Sr. of Springtown; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 2:00 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
