CARL M. WILLIAMS, age 82, a resident of Irving for forty-five years, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at an Arlington hospital. Born June 7, 1933 in Garvin, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late John L. Williams and Margie Wooten Williams. A Korean War Navy veteran, he was a long-time truck driver. Preceded in death by his wife Teresa Williams in 2008, he is survived by his daughters Peggy Cavender and husband Greg of Coppell and Carla Wetzel and husband Greg of Grand Prairie; a sister, Betty Meritt and husband Creed of Roxton, Texas; and two grandchildren, Clint Wetzel and Katie Wetzel, both of Grand Prairie. The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Roxton, Texas.
