Carl Bruce Wall, 81, a resident of Irving for 31 years, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born December 20, 1931 in Oelwein, Iowa, he was the son of Palmer Wall and Gladys Reese Wall. He served in the United States Navy. He married Janet Warnstadt February 13, 1965. He taught in the Dallas Independent School District and Irving Independent School District for twenty-five years. He was a member of the Church of the Incarnation at the University of Dallas, the American Legion, the Tin Can Sailors, and the Grapevine Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife Janet of Irving; a son Donald Wall and wife Karen of Fort Worth; two grandchildren, Curtis Wall and wife Paloma of Victoria and Jacob Wall and wife Shelley of Florida; and four great grandchildren, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Jonah, and Conner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grapevine Elks Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 1923 Grapevine, Texas 76099. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Incarnation on the campus of the University of Dallas in Irving.
