CARL G. WILLIAMS, age 61, of Irving, died Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born April 28, 1943 at Fort Worth, he was the son of Paul Sinclair Williams and Mary Josephine Hennessey Johnson Williams. He was a U S Marine and had lived in Irving since 1972. He married Paula Jeanette Lankston February 8, 1963 in Wichita Falls. He had been a welder. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Paula Williams of Irving; son, Chris Alan Williams of Irving; daughter, Kelli Deane Wilson of Irving; brother, Paul V. Williams of Monument, CO; sisters, Rosemary Williams of Austin and Laurie Warren of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren, Summer Renee Graham, Brooke Lauren Contreras, Elizabeth Blair Contreras, and Blake Miles Contreras. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Gerald Patrick Williams. Memorials may be made to Epilepsy Foundation of Greater North Texas, 2906 Swiss Ave. Dallas, TX 75204-5929. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2004 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took his hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now; He set me free.
