CARL BURCHAM, age 69, a resident of Irving since 1959, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at a Grapevine hospital. Born January 24, 1943 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Marion Hale Burcham, Sr. and Vivian Elizabeth Hulsey Burcham, he was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving. Carl retired from General Motors after 43 years of service. Preceded in death by his first wife, Judy (Flagel) Burcham in 2007, he is survived by his present wife, Judy (Eckhardt) Burcham, they married October 3, 2009 in Irving. Also surviving are his son, Michael Burcham and wife Frances of Irving; son, Craig Burcham and wife Mellisa of Irving; daughter, Kara Ren Burcham of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; step-daughters, Michelle West and husband Stu of Richmond, Virginia, Diane Barber of Irving; step-sons, Berton Kersting, Jr. and wife Kathryn of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Kersting and wife Leaha of Mooresville, North Carolina; brothers, Jim Burcham and wife Donna, Denny Burcham and wife Alice; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25 at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Service is 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26 at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, 1714 North Story Road, Irving with Rev. Ken Branam officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Park Baptist Church.
