Obituary

Bonnie Lou Grimm Guynn June 11, 1936 September 23, 2020 Bonnie was born June 11, 1936 in Davenport, Iowa to Mabel Beatty Grimm and Edward Henry Grimm and passed away in Irving, Texas September 23, 2020 at 84 years of age. Bonnies family lived on a farm in Muscatine, Iowa and they moved into town when she was young. Bonnie loved Iowa and Muscatine. She often spoke of her many memories growing up on the farm, going to school and playing clarinet in the band, involvement in 4H, working as a carhop at her parents ice cream stand, Maid-Rite sandwiches, Mark Twain (he lived in Muscatine, Iowa for a period of time), the pearl button factory, Wildcat Den, and the Mississippi river. Bonnies list of Iowa memories, which she often shared, is long. Bonnie retired from American Cyanamid in 1995 where she had worked since 1968. Bonnie had many accomplishments in her life, head baseball coach of Todds baseball team, part owner in a successful small business, but the most cherished was being "mom" to many. Bonnie was known as "mom" to many as she welcomed all kids into her life. She treated and loved them as her own. Bonnie has one son, Todd Edward Parish, and two daughters, Kathy Guynn Ringland, Becky Guynn Ingram and has four grandchildren, Tristen Edward Parish (24), Keaton Blake Parish (21), Casey Lynn Ingram (16), and Olivia Faithe Parish (16). Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, A.T. Guynn of Irving, Texas and by her sister, Lila Grimm Wagner of Cheyenne, Wyoming. All are welcome to attend a celebration of Bonnies life at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway Irving, Texas 75062 on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. The celebration will be live streamed.
