BOBBY RAYMOND WELSH, age 88, a resident of Irving, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Irving. Born June 26, 1927 in Texarkana, Texas, he was the son of J. E. Welsh and Maise Alice Stenson Welsh. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired Dallas Firefighter, and a Mason. He resided at his lake house on Cedar Creek Lake in Eustace, Texas for 16 years, prior to moving to Gun Barrel City where he resided for 18 years. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Retha Mae Welsh; parents, J.E. and Maise Alice Welsh; brothers, James and Ed Welsh; and sister, Margarite Crawford. Survivors include his daughter, Bobbie Joyce Welsh of Irving; grandsons, Chas Wallace and wife Bridgette, Chet Wallace and wife Trudy of Flower Mound and Casey Wallace and wife Diana of Irving; four great grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Smith of Irving, and Joyce Davis and husband John of Dallas. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 10 at Rylie Cemetery, 10400 Rylie Rd. Dallas, TX 75217.
