Robert Joel Warren, 86, of Bedford, formerly a long-time resident of Irving, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 in a Grapevine hospital. Born June 7, 1932 in Dallas, he was the son of the late William Loren Warren, Jr. and Alverda Anderson Warren. He served in the United States Navy. He married Athelene Malone May 8, 1954 in Maysville, Kentucky. They moved to Irving shortly after their marriage. Together, they operated Airport Business Machines, Inc. in Irving from 1973 until 2000. He was a member of the Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He later worked for Hyatt Hotels. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife Athelene Warren of Bedford; a daughter Donna Warren of Denton; two granddaughters, Danielle Warren of Bedford and Jordan Warren of Denton; a half-sister Patsy Bowers and her husband Richard of Weatherford; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Malone Vice of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews including Don and Steve Warren. A private family service will be held. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
