James Robert "Bob" Bowling, 75, a resident of Bedford, formerly a long-time resident of Irving, died December 23, 2021 at Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center in Irving. Born May 15, 1946 in Dallas, he was the son of the late James Robert Bowling, Sr. and Jimmie Goodwin Bowling. He served in the U S Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He designed fire sprinkler systems for many years. He married Nancy Sue Cooke August 30, 1968 in Irving. Survivors include his wife Nancy of Bedford; two sons, Kent Bowling and Todd Bowling, both of Carrollton; a daughter, Robin LaRue and husband Eric of Tomball; and two grandchildren, Jamison and Tatum LaRue. A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 West Airport Freeway 75062. Inurnment will be at 2:30 p.m. the same day at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. Robert Holt will officiate. SERVICES
