Billy Dale
Knight
Mar 31, 1947 — Aug 11, 2025
Billy Dale Knight, 78, went to be with Jesus, Monday, August 11, 2025. In life, as in death, he was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Tyler Tx on Monday, March 31, 1947. By 1959, his family moved to Irving, where he spent his entire life.
August 16, 1969 Billy Dale married the love of his life, Beverly Elaine Mitchell of Irving. They were blessed with 2 children. He began a career in long haul trucking, but his passion was fishing. As a long time, award winning, member of the Dallas Air National Guard Bass Club (DANG Bass Club), he was always in pursuit of the "Big One". No doubt, Heaven's fishing holes are going to be tested. Billy also loved football and the beach. He played semi-pro football for the Dallas Texans in the 70's and was an avid Cowboys fan, win or lose. Traveling to Galveston was a regular desire because after honeymooning there, he and Beverly were hooked.
Billy was a dedicated family man with a great sense of humor. Always there to lend a hand and make you laugh. Bill and Beverly regularly attended Hope Irving Church where their faith in God gave them never ending strength through all the hard times.
Billy Dale is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverly Knight. Daughter Stacey Lynn Knight and son Michael Wesley Knight. All of Irving.
His sister, Brenda Sue Guise and husband Dave of Stephenville Tx.
Grandsons: Michael Dale Birdsong (wife Nicole) and Anthony Dale Knight
Granddaughters: Leah Nicole Crowe (husband Jason Lambeth) and Kaitlyn Crowe
Great Grand Children: Mylie, Kylie, Joseph, Spencer, Cooper, Jessie, Eli & Jaxon
