Bill Davis, 63, of Irving, died on January 4, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Bill was born on January 28, 1954 in Dallas to William Henry Davis, Sr. and Edith Pauline (McDonald) Davis. Bill married Mary Theresa Kastner on August 5, 1998 in Denton, Texas. He served in the US Army, and was a Brick Mason by trade. Bill enjoyed hunting, guns, anything outdoors, all nature, planting trees, camping, river trips on the Brazos and Trinity. Bill also authored and published two books: Two Faces of Beauty: A Collection of Micro Didactics and The Arena, both under his given name, William Davis. He was a member of Irving North Christian Church. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Kastner Davis of the home; daughters, Amy and Sarah Davis; siblings, Carol Sue Eggers, Dinah Chu and husband Sam, Laura Matthews and husband Alford, and Mike Davis; step-son, Joseph Kastner; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062. Committal service at DFW National Cemetery on Friday, January 19th at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Irving North Christian Church in Bill's memory. SERVICES
