BEVERLY KNOPP LONG, age 84, a resident of Irving for 45 years, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Irving. Born November 22, 1927 in Cleburne, Texas to Frank Knopp Sr. and Jessie Evelyn Nail Knopp, she married Vernon Lee Long on July 15, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri. Beverly was the manager at Pecks Office Supply in Irving for 20 years. Preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy McCuller, she is survived by her husband, Vernon; daughters, Valerie Leffel and husband Rodney and Leslie Godwin, all of Irving; son, Gregory Horning of Euless; grandchildren, Christopher Leffel and Chad Leffel; brothers, Dr. Frank Knopp and David Knopp. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside service is 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 30 at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas with Dan Burt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
