Beverly Ann Wiggins Brewer, age 72, a resident of Irving, Texas for 42 years, died Monday, May 10, 2010 in Irving. Born January 17, 1938 in Cleburne, Texas to Joseph Edwin and Hattie Mae Woolard Wiggins, she married Douglas Brewer on July 27, 1968, in Cleburne. She was a 1956 graduate of Cleburne High School and a 1960 graduate of Texas Christian University. Many will remember her as an elementary school teacher for H.E.B. School District where she worked for nine years and the Irving Independent School District where she worked from 1979 until her retirement in January 2005. A member of the Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, she was preceded in death by her parents. Survived by husband, Douglas Brewer of Irving; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Amanda Brewer; and granddaughter, Abigail Brewer all of Keller; sister-in-law, Sylvia Brewer of Hideaway. Services 10 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Donnelly's Colonial Chapel. Noon burial at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
