Bettye Jo (Davis) Porter died peacefully on December 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. Bettye was born in Pecos, Texas, went to high school in Sweetwater and graduated from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. Bettye then taught 3rd grade in Odessa, Texas, where she met and later married Kenneth D. Porter. Bettye and Kenneth moved to Irving, Texas, where they lived the rest of their days. Bettye is survived by two sons, Jeff and Greg, three grandchildren, Jessica, Wren and Ryan, three great grandchildren Alexis, Andrew and Austin, and three great-great grandchildren, August, Ameliana, and Lilliann.
