Bettye Ann Jackson, age 80, a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas for the last 15 years, died on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016 at her home. Born on October 21, 1935 in Comanche, Oklahoma, to Fred Sharp and Betty Mae Fields Sharp, Bettye was a second grade school teacher in Duncan, Oklahoma for 35 years and was a very active member of Gospel Beams Church in Duncan. Preceded in death by her husband, Don Jackson, three sisters and one brother, she is survived by daughter, Diann Dillard of Grand Prairie; son, Bobby L. Jackson and wife Pam of Garland; 4 grandchildren, Mendy, Donna, Cassie, Donny; 7 great-grandchildren. The family received friends on Thursday, June 2nd at Donnellys Colonial Funeral Home. Reverend Larry Adley officiated her funeral service in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 3, 2016. Burial at DFW National Cemetery.
