Betty Lou
Pate
Apr 8, 2026 — Jun 23, 2026
With hearts full of gratitude, and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Betty Lou Pate (Grandy), who took her final breath on June 23, 2026, at the age of 93. A woman of beauty, strength, and southern charm. She lived a long life filled with love for Jesus, family and shopping. A woman that was unforgettable. In her lifetime, Betty was defined by her devotion to four "F" words: Family, Friends, Food and Fun. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and the dinner table was always a place of laughter, Southern Food and love on various holidays. She enjoyed shopping and a good book. Betty's giving spirit was evident to all that knew her.
Betty worked at the Wall Street Journal in Dallas, Texas for 29 years as a Payroll Manager. She enjoyed working with the people that were very dear to her and became a second family to her.
Betty was married to Temple (Corky) Pate for 67 years until his passing May 10, 2018. Left to cherish Betty's memory are her daughters, Sharon (husband, Jim) Koehling and Susan (husband Paul) Pineider; her grandchildren, Brandon (wife, Sarah), Nikolas (wife, Natalie), Lindsey, Drew and Juliana (husband, Zach); great grandchildren, Asher, Bryson, Ethan, Gavin and Madelyn.
